At the very inception of our company there are goals set to become one of the most financially and environmentally sustainable companies. What does this mean exactly? We look at protecting the environment in a way that makes sense and makes it easier for society to adapt to. As we live in a time where new products come out every day that are ethically sourced, carbon neutral, recycled, etc.., that are followed by impracticality or a price tag that simply doesn’t make sense. Our outlook is to make environmentally friendly options lower in cost through more efficient production, material sourcing, and material use - along with adequate usability.

Currently our main sector of business consist of additive manufacturing, better know as 3-D Printing. There are many benefits for the environment and our customers’ bottom line that revolve around additive manufacturing. 3-D printing utilizes material in a way that injection molding can not; with geometric infill that provides astonishing strength with a fraction of the amount of material used. This allows for parts to be lighter along with using less plastic. This is a key step in the right direction of using plastic more efficiently. 3-D printing also cuts a large amount of expensive machinery and tooling out of the equation. This reduces the high power usage and cost of other manufacturing processes. Namely, for plastic molds to be made, a mold machine has to be built, which makes a product. This product carries all of the mark ups that come from the mold makers, parts producers, and all of the logistic costs between each step. The markups come directly out of the consumer’s pocket - which isn’t cool. With 3-D printing, we can produce parts ranging from one-off prototypes to small run production at a rate that is competitive with mold shops and doesn’t require the colossal upfront cost of molds.

Although 3-D printing is a great technology, there are also other alternatives. We are currently working to replace many objects we use everyday with a recycled composite that rivals the price and structural integrity of existing petroleum polymers and lumber. Futr Applications, LLC is currently in our early stages of preparing to launch our first patent pending product, showcasing how we can think outside the box to bring sustainability to fields most wouldn’t think of. We are excited about our product and hope you will be too.

As we grow, we wish to take ourselves out of the fossil fuel power grid and have our print farm and recycled composite manufacturing facilities powered by solar. This will help further reduce our carbon footprint as well as save on energy cost in the long term: placing us in a carbon neutral and even potentially carbon negative trajectory! We are very excited to help craft a more efficient and sustainable atmosphere in the sector that is usually a large contributor to negative environmental impacts. We hope you follow us along the way!
